November Skyline

From the hill where we often turn into our neighborhood you can see the slightest outline of the Nashville skyline. The sun was setting last Sunday afternoon and as we crossed the street into the subdivision I stuck my little Canon PowerShot out the passenger window and snapped a picture.

It kinda looks fake but I promise the only thing I did was rotate it 2 degrees and crop it. I started to brush out the faint power lines, but then I decided I like them.

If I saw this somewhere else I’d probably say the font is cheesy. It is. But I like it anyway. I’m fond of cheese now and then.

  1. Ooh, pretty. So I guess when I buy a “real” camera it’s going to be a Canon 🙂

And I’m so surprised that you can see the skyline. Like really, surprised. I guess I’ll have to look the next time we visit you guys.

  2. You know where you turn off of Lebanon Rd. to go to our old neighborhood? It’s that same spot, by the Mexican restaurant and the new plaza. The back way into the neighborhood is right on top of that hill…in fact the name of that plaza is “Skyview.” I’ve always loved that and at the same time hated that it’s all commercial there, wouldn’t it be lovely to have a home on that hill where you can see so far? I dream of such things.

  3. Oh…and that was just my little point and shoot Canon. Not the big one. I need to try to get up there with the zoom lens on the nicer camera sometime. I don’t know what I could get, but it might be fun to try for something nice.

  4. Oh, well I’m glad I didn’t try to see it in your current neighborhood 😉 I haven’t been to that restaurant since Halle was a baby.

And I figured if your little point and shoot could take that picture then a “big” Canon would be great 😀

  5. Pretty! And I’m a big fan of people doing what they like to their photos – cheesy or not. Also, it’s not cheesy 🙂
