My Mommy Dream…A.K.A. Fantasy

I would love to wake up some winter morning and find that there are lights on somewhere. That someone has gotten up before me and built a beautiful fire, made me some wintertime tea with honey and prepared breakfast for the whole family. I would sip my tea and read my Bible by the fire, eat my breakfast and then shower and dress leisurely, taking time to see that my clothes actually match while someone else sees to the preparation of the little ones. Then I would traipse out the door with three well (completely) dressed boys, bags that are already packed with the needed items of a mother of three for that particular day and get into a van that is already warmed up having time to arrange my mobile phone, sunglasses, Chapstick and cup of water while someone else buckles them all in.

I would just settle for a shower in the morning though.

  1. Mary, I think I know a way this could happen for you. We move up there and I become your full time assistant. I’m just saying. Think about it. . .

  2. That sounds absolutely delicious. Especially the fire and the tea.
I have discovered that a girls’ weekend away satisfies those dreams a bit. If not sated, you will be pacified 🙂

  3. Well, having this happen every day *is* a fantasy, but I see no reason why we can’t all forward this to Kris and make it happen at least *once*. In fact, he should thank us because then he wouldn’t have to get creative about your birthday or Mother’s Day… just, !bam!, there’s the answer. 🙂

  4. Ha! Jessica you would be perfect for that job…except your worth more than I can pay.

I’m planning a girls weekend Christy, but I’m planning it for here. So…I may be too busy hosting to enjoy the benefits as much as I’d like. But I’ll sure try.

If Kris pulled that off, he’d get numerous credits in my love bank for sure.

  5. I’ve never let my mind wander that far but…now I feel disappointed. Travis does let me sleep in on Saturdays though.
