The road never slips out from underneath.
It only refuses to wind with our emotions.
The way never gets lost.
It is faithful regardless of our sense of direction.
The truth never becomes muddled or gray.
It is steadfast and we are prone to bending.
Life isn’t a passing shadow.
Our breathing days within it are.
Love isn’t a code of conduct.
It is God, and the only way to love is by knowing Him.
Setting our feet into the path He has marked, hearing His call on the way He has planned, living out His Word, breathing in His life and trusting. Knowing Him enough to fathom that every minute, high or low, will not change who He is.
I rejoice today, because I see God’s faithfulness again and again, not just in the good that He does, but in the very quiet, simple way He beckons me and makes it easy for me to know Him more.
