Quick Update on the Couch Saga

On Thursday another Haverty’s delivery truck pulled up and I inspected three (not four for some reason) pieces of furniture that were to replace my four smelly pieces of furniture. They pulled them out in the driveway for me to look over and I approved of two of them, the third went back on the truck for having a significant snag on the back and scuffs on it’s feet. So now we have a smelly half couch and a smelly chaise and a nice half couch and a nice chaise. Unfortunately the chaise that smells matches up to the couch that doesn’t smell and vice versa.

I called Evelyn yesterday because she didn’t call me back on Thursday and she told me she was looking for one of the pieces and would have to call me back. She hasn’t called me back. I’ll have to try again today…or see if Kris will do it. I hate making these calls but what I hate more is trying to relate them to Kris who is even more ticked than I am. I can’t be mean enough for him. Doesn’t he know that he likes that about me? 🙂

The smell is certainly not that bad until you get right up close but that’s the thing about couches…they’re best used right up close.

  1. Wow! I’ve been slipping. I thought I’ve checked your site in the last day or two, but I woke up this am to lots of work! Your work, not mine. I’m getting to mine in a little bit:) First coffee, eggs, and a bit of catching up on blogs. The room looks very nice. I know Grandma would love how nice her sewing machine looks in there as well. I don’t have room or need, but I like the wardrobe. If I had the room, I’d probably offer to buy it from you. Have a great Saturday!

  2. I can’t stand when simple things become so difficult! Will that mean that you love the couch even more- since it took so much more effort to obtain it? 🙂
