Round Two

Kris is in bed this morning. He’s feeling terrible. I heard him coughing after I had gone to feed the baby this morning but didn’t imagine that he was suffering from a throbbing headache and high fever as well. He said his throat hurts terribly. I took him a little toast and water with some Tylenol to ease his headache and hopefully he can sleep for a while. I may see if we can get him into the doctor today. Normally I wouldn’t push for that, but with the pain he had last week I don’t want to mess around.

He was feeling so much better yesterday morning I thought it was all past but last night just before bedtime he looked stiff again and I could tell it was bothering him. The boys are both much better after a bit of a yucky weekend and thankfully Aron hasn’t been touched by any of it.

Oh…and I feel fine too. Thank you for asking.

  1. Strep throat? Now’s about the time of year when it goes around this area. I don’t think it explains the shoulder pain, but if his throat hurts and he has a fever it might help to get a strep test and a dose of penicillin.

  2. update: He seems to feel better. He says the shoulder pain isn’t back, he just felt stiff because of the fever and his throat doesn’t hurt, but was just irritated this morning from a coughing fit. He doesn’t want to go to the doctor, so I haven’t made an appointment. Owen had a very similar reaction to whatever was bothering him. He didn’t have many symptoms, just a fever that made him very sluggish and tired. Hopefully this will pass just as uneventfully.

  3. I’m so glad he is feeling a little better. we will pray together for him and all of you tonight! Thanks to God that He is keeping you well so you can care for all of em!

  4. Mary, I’m so glad for the update. I’m thrilled you’re feeling alright- although you’re probably tired from ‘holding down the fort’. I pray for wellness to flood through your house.

  5. Sending healing wishes and prayers. I had a brutal headache for a full 24 hours (started Monday evening). Hope every one gets to feeling better soon!
