A Nice Day

I finished the tree today. Hanging the last of the cookies up and putting all the bows on the gifts. It looks so much better with bows. If I had more time, I’d put popcorn strings on the tree as well, but I still need to do a little more baking and finish a couple of gifts.

The sky is pretty today, clear and blue. It’s a little warmer as well. We had snow on Sunday, flurries on the way to church were a welcome sight but I am glad for a little break in the cold now and then as well. Especially since I don’t like to wear socks around the house, I’d much rather be barefoot.

Owen is finally at an age where he looks for his name on the gifts, which is simultaneously fun and annoying. Ivan just likes to touch them all. He doesn’t tear anything apart, but he wants to be right in the midst of it. He is napping right now and I am about to get started on some yummy soup for tomorrow. I finished some muffins and need to clean up my mess before making another one. It smells really good in here right now.

Here’s the tree:

  1. Dad, you have snow…lots of snow…that’s sort of Chrismasish right? In fact I think I’ll post those pictures you sent so people can see what I’m missing besides my dad this Christmas.
