Making Crooked Ways Straight

Well, my crooked back is straightening slowly but surely. I did not host the sewing party last night and I think it was for the best. Amy and Tisra were the only ones planning to come and Amy called to gracefully let me know that I was not obligated to make anyone feel at home except my dear family. After discussing it with Kris I jumped from the window of opportunity and landed on my bed with the ice pack on my back. Kris took care of all of the heavy lifting last night, giving Owen his bath and manhandling playtime. We got the boys into bed at a reasonable hour and then watched a little TV and went to bed. I feel like my back is healing in record time and though I’m not completely immobilizing myself, I’m certainly not overdoing it and I’m having such a nice day. The weather is beautiful and yesterday I sat in the backyard with Ivan while Owen played. We stayed in this morning but I am pretty sure I hear Owen stirring from his nap so I will encourage him to get some outdoor play in while it’s nice. Ivan just fell asleep in the swing and I would love a little snooze myself but maybe I’ll feel a little more lively if I get a little sunshine and drink a tall glass of ice water.

  1. I am glad that your back is starting to feel better. I am always having back problems so I know how that feels.

I am still all about hosting the May 11th party if people want to make it. I think it would be fun. I really hope that a few people show up.

  2. I’m glad you decided to rest last night- I think that was wise. I hope you make a speedy recovery and are back to your normal self soon.

  3. Good thing your back is feeling better. I get the same stress related back problems. Though lately my stress manifests in my knees.
