Not to be outdone by any means…today is my brother Joel’s birthday and I have not been able to reach him to wish him well. I left a message where he works so maybe he can call me back. Unfortunately it’s a busy Friday night at the Mellow Mushroom where he is waiting tables so I don’t know if he’ll get a break. The real kicker is…it’s birthday number 30. What a bummer that he has to work. I almost told the girl who answered the phone over there that it’s his 30th birthday and that they should make a big deal of it but I didn’t know how he’d feel about that so I left it alone.
Hope he has had a good day despite his lack of hearing from me, his self proclaimed favorite sister.
You’ll have to check your photo archives, but I think I remember other photos of Joel being in this same pose: chair, toy, barely a smile or none at all.
Anyway, Happy Birthday Joel!
Tisra – I had to check. I did seek but I did not find which completely goes against scripture. Must have something to do with what you are looking for. So…maybe I showed you the picture because it is one among many from the trip I took to Ohio in June of 2003 to visit Marie Martin and Corlene Schulz who I long for you to meet someday. The sweetest of sisters they are. Or…maybe you’re psychic. ( I hope Amber notices my correct spelling/use of you’re)
So is that mellow mushroom website supposed to be a rip-off of homestar Runner? Cause it is.
Keith – I totally thought the same thing. Annoying rip-off is what I thought. Not funny.
Old photo? That is why I had that thought- you must have shown it to me. Here I was thinking that this was *this* week with Owen’s new trains.
Tisra – Very old train in fact. The reason he is holding the train is because when the afore mentioned sisters pulled out their toys for Landis to play with…they were the same toys we had all played with as little kids. It was all so nostalgic.
Happy Birthday Joel!
We have totally been wanting to go to the Mellow Mushroom so maybe this will be extra incentive.
Amy – Better go soon…he’s moving to Michigan in the next couple of weeks.
Moving to michigan- you hadn’t mentioned that!
Yes, I noticed your gramatically correct use of the contraction “you’re,” but I wouldn’t expect less of you. Moving to Michigan??? Is he giving up on Nashville? Traitor.
Hmmm, tomorrow is Trav’s birthday and we were planning on going out this weekend….maybe we’ll go then.
