Kris is ill. He is laying in bed again and unfortunately feels even worse than yesterday. Tummy troubles have him quite low I’m afraid. Owen and I made a Walmart run at 6:30 this morning for Gatorade and low impact snacks. Hopefully the worst is over and we can keep him hydrated and start building his strength back up. He had a long night of bathroom visits and very little sleep. I didn’t get a lot of sleep either as a result…but I’m used to that. I’ll probably sneak a nap in this afternoon.
I’m not getting as much done as I’d hoped with my time off from Joey. I’m spending a little more time on Kris than expected, which is fine…I sort of like babying him now and then.
We were intending to go to the Sounds game tonight but I just have my doubts that we will be doing that. I considered going by myself but I just wonder if I’d even have a good time. We’ll make a decision a little later when Kris is a little more rested.
I’m going to make this a lot shorter than yesterday since I need to catch up a bit on chores. Pray for Kris.
I recommend going to the health store and getting probiotics, a supplement found in capsule form I believe. It’s the same bacterial cultures found in yogurt, and if he takes them it will help to rebuild the balance of healthy bacterias in the stomach. It’s a good natural way to help your system when you feel nauseous.
Also you can take about an inch of fresh ginger and shred it and steep it in just-boiled water for a few minutes and have him drink it as a tea and that should help sooth the stomach pain. (Or just chew on a fresh piece of ginger) Other than that I will keep him in prayers, and you too. Don’t get sick!
