Empty House

The Buttons are gone. Yesterday afternoon they pulled away from the house with high hopes for a quick and uneventful return trip to Birmingham. I honestly wish they could have stayed longer. There was a lot going on and I felt like there wasn’t a lot of time just to sit and relax with them, but it was fun none the less.

We had a very nice time. The Arbonne class went well and afterward we met Todd and Christina Spitters along with Stephanie Sullivan at Amy’s Frozen Custard for dinner and ice-cream. It was a lot of fun and of course the frozen custard was delicious.

Sunday, Travis and Amy and the youngest girls went to Eric and Tisra’s Church down in Cool Springs. We took Amanda with us to Cornerstone and had a great service. The four of us then drove to Cool Springs to meet the other two groups for lunch at Cozymels. It was good but I think I prefer El OK Corral. I would like to try some of their desserts sometime though.

They had to come back to the house to pack up their car and it was already 3:30 if I remember right by the time we got home. We were all tired and got to bed pretty early for us.

My dad called last night and he is getting a couple of steer again…so we will have beef for Christmas again. I’m guessing it will be next year before they are big enough to butcher.

Also…our friends Josh and Melissa Weber had a little girl early this morning. I’m expecting to get to see her today. I am planning to take Owen over to Tisra’s house and watch the kids while she goes to see them. Congratulations to the Webers and welcome little Krista Ann!
