Today I have a long list. Visit the Boyds in the hospital, meet Lucille for lunch. Run a few other errands like pick up some dish soap…we’re completely out and that’s a bad thing. Catch up on laundry and brainstorm on the church events I’m helping to plan.
It doesn’t sound like a long list, but any time I have to leave the house it feels like I’m just extremely busy. I don’t know why that is for sure except that it interrupts what I consider to be ideal. Ideal is staying home in sweat pants and getting things done here. A little cleaning and a lot of straightening, a few computer graphics or writing projects, a bit of quilting and a lot of sewing and dinner ready by the time Kris gets home. That’s ideal.
Owen is walking again. Now he seems much more confident and though he still falls a lot he doesn’t get as frustrated and keeps moving. The only problem now is that he wants to walk down the stairs. We haven’t had any falls yet but the gate is going to stay put until we can convince him that it’s a bad idea.
Clay and I were watching Owen’s walking video again yesterday. I was laughing at Owen and it made Clay mad. Clay wanted to cheer him on. Little mercy motivated kid. I don’t know where that comes from.
Too funny. Tell Clay that it’s okay to laugh. Even Owen laughs at it sometimes.
