I cut the grass, swept off the sidewalk and entrances as well as the entire back black-top area where we used to park. The last storm blew a lot of sticks and little twigs and leaves everywhere so it looked as if that back lot was carpeted with debree. The flower beds needed just a little weeding but it didn’t take long and the mowing was done fairly quickly. No, the neighbors do not own a self-propelled mower, but what I didn’t know is that these non high-tech mowers are much lighter, making my task a lot easier than I would have imagined. I was pretty worn out by the time I finished the first half of the front lawn but remembered a verse that encouraged me the rest of the time…Psalm 29:11 says “The Lord gives strength to his people, the Lord blesses His people with peace.” and He did.
I took a big two quart jug of water with me and it tasted so good when I was done.
Tisra said that Owen was good, he had just fallen asleep right before I got there to pick him up. He slept on the way home too I fed him and he is now playing quietly at my feet. I’m going to take it easy and stay inside for a while now. It’s actually pretty nice out and I wouldn’t mind spending some more time in the flower beds here, but I’m clean and it’s cool in here…why ruin a good thing?
Kris said it’s supposed to storm again tonight so I may have to take the broom back over there tomorrow and sweep again. I’m sure someone will appreciate it.
