Pete and Repeat 1: Last weekend it was Ivan. This time it’s Aron. Just like his big brother a high fever hit him on Saturday and we were home from church on Sunday…again.
I don’t like this. Yet…I am thankful. Because of Ivan’s experience last weekend, I am confident that we will be out of this in a couple days, he will have no other scary symptoms and all will be well soon. In fact, as I write this today, his temperature is almost normal already. Though his fever spiked higher than Ivan’s (104.3) he is recovering more quickly. I like this.
Pete and Repeat 2: Owen decided he wanted to wear a tie to church yesterday and Ivan was quick to follow. Both dressed themselves quite well, but both found a way to button their shirts wrong and hang their ties in interesting ways. I did correct this before they left for church but I also got pictures of their work. Can’t help but love stuff like this.
Pete and Repeat 3: I took this picture the other night and when I looked at it later I was immediately reminded of another picture. I remember thinking that Ivan looked like my family as an infant. I see now that I was most assuredly wrong.
In fact let me check something…
Yep.
We are in the midst of a snow day. I was up VERY late last night and saw nary a flake before going to bed after 11:00, but woke up around 4:00 this morning (I didn’t actually stay up, just rolled over really) and noticed that the glow that comes into our bedroom was a bit brighter and knew that the snow had come. I love how snow reflects light and brightens everything, even in the middle of the night.
I remember as a kid going outside at night (I was alone and it seems like my parents were asleep, so I must have been a little bit older…like 11 or 12) and walking across our snow covered yard where a very bright sky was being reflected from the white snow and ice to almost daylight brightness. It was really stunning…sort of magical…if you talk like that. Which I don’t…obviously.
The End.
The pics of Kris and Ivan are unbelievable. WOWZERS!! The boys dressing themselves are way too precious.
Crazy isn’t it? I keep looking at them side by side cause I’m still amazed. 🙂
Bahahaha! That’s hilarious!
I still think Ivan looks like Landis but the Kris factor is undeniable.
Love the ties…
He looks more and more like Landis to me all the time, but I think it is more his expressions than his features, though they are similar too. I just couldn’t believe how the angle and expression on these two came out so perfectly similar.
I just don’t see it.
Are you joking?
I love those boys in their ties! So much!
And #3? Oh my. Maybe Kris needs those glasses back so he can see it 🙂
I literally laughed out loud.
Hilarious!!!!!
Oh…and Kris was joking by the way. I told him later I can’t read sarcasm well sometimes.
I could totally hear his sarcastic tone in my head when I read it. Makes perfect sense 😉
I thought I did too the first time I read it, but then I heard his smug tone when I read it again. :). I couldn’t quite decide what I was hearing.
