In college, young Christopher Condry,
Found his clothes in a bit of a quandary.
Not one sock a pair,
No thing fit to wear,
Now he’ll pay for his mom to do laundry.
My little sister delivered baby number four early this morning…afternoon for her. She and her family are in China and enjoying the last hours of Good Friday and the first hours of the life of Ethan from there.
What a joy to celebrate Good Friday with new life. I have to admit, knowing that I have a far away little nephew to kiss, and not having a new baby of my own to either care for or prepare for is much more agonizing. I want to HOLD HIM.
Ethan Malachi Hall
April 2, 2010
9 lb. 10 oz.
51 cm. (I think that’s just over 20 inches)
I will call him “Chubby!”
All went well.
Congratulations Hall family!
He’s precious Mary! Congrats to your sister too! By the way, wow, you guys look a lot alike!
It’s funny, being part of the adoption community and seeing so many Chinese kids with non-Chinese parents, and knowing she was in China… My brain confused it all for a split second and I expected Ethan to look Chinese! Ha! Wouldn’t that be funny if their kids were like souvenirs and resembled the countries of their birth?! Happy congratulations to your family! I know what you mean about wanting to hold babies. It took me a long time to get there, but I’m soooo there now! My girlfriend Kim gave birth last week and I’m chomping at the bit to fly to CA to hold her daughter!
Congratulations to all of you! He *is* chubby. He reminds me of Amanda when she was first born. That kid had some chubby cheeks too.
Congrats to your sister who does look so much like you! Wow! What a cutie and I have always loved the name Ethan.
Wonderful! Such a beautiful baby.
The first thing I thought when I saw this was “WOW! Kristy looks like your mom in this picture” 🙂
Congratulations Kristy!
