Tisra asked what the lamp looked like, so when we got back from getting Owen I took it’s picture. Then I found some pictures from Memorial Day that I failed to put up on the blog. So find a host of informative pixel collections below.
I made apple pie on Memorial Day…I cut out an apple in the crust…I made it look like the Mac apple. Aren’t I clever?
I made blueberry pie on Memorial Day too. That’s supposed to be a star.
I also made a chocolate chess pie…it didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped but it was the first one eaten anyway.
With the left-over pie crust dough I made these little twists from a recipe in “Better Homes & Gardens” I didn’t follow the filling recipe, just the idea for the twists. I filled them with Orange Marmalade Jelly that I had in the fridge. I propped them up on rolled up parchment paper so they wouldn’t spill all over the place.
Our church’s Memorial Day service always has military vehicles and paraphernalia outside for people to look over. I got a couple pictures of the Ivan and Aron in the big truck.
This is Madison sitting quietly on the couch while the boys are napping. She is as relieved as I am when they lay down.
The lamp.
Madison and the lamp. Can you believe she walks around my house on her hands? My boys are so impressed…or maybe it’s me that’s impressed.
I’m glad you have a picture of her sitting quietly. Otherwise, I would not have believed it happened 🙂 I love the fact that she can walk on her hands. I’m so impressed by it . . . impressed, but mostly jealous!! She amazes me in so many ways. I hope it will always be that way in our relationship. Thanks for sharing. Ten more minutes and I’m out of here. See you shortly.
So many lovely pies! Wish I could have tested them for you…and yes, you are very clever 🙂
Pie! I think I would have eaten nothing but pie, mmmm.
Love the lamp- it’s perfect. And so is miss Madison. Hand walking is very impressive.
SO funny! I used to do the same thing when I was her age. I was doing handstands and cartwheels all around the house (and stores!). Thankfully I grew out of it. That might be weird if I was going around everywhere doing that now. Oh, and the lamp in that little seating area is just perfect!
love the lamp and the hand walker – so nice that she entertains and is helpful to you! I know the kids are missing her now! I can’t wait to come see them. Wish i had Madison’s energy…..
OK MARY!- I have lamp envy!!!!
We were looking at lamps, and I was continually drawn to lamps *just like that one* in a very similar shade for our house. Only, I never clicked “buy” because they were always $200+!!! But, should you; ever find another in a garage sale… I would love one in turquoise! 🙂
And, um, I’m dying for pie now. *thanks* (said in sarcasm font, of course.
Madison, you’re getting more and more gorgeous. Impressive gymnast!
