Common Ground

Last night we had our sewing party. It was very nice. There were 6 of us plus kids. I think everyone got a little something done and it was so great to see the new babies and catch up with everyone again.

I spent a lot of the evening talking to the guest to our sewing group. Tisra brought her friend Candie with her last night and she made herself right at home among us. She is from California and was visiting Tisra for a few days. We had a very encouraging conversation about the wonderful peace and faithfulness of God. It was so nice to meet someone for the first time and find that the family of God provides such common ground. So it is with most of the girls who have come to our sewing parties. We have had little trouble warming up with one another and have built such important friendships.

It’s 9:30 on Friday night and I’m going to watch a movie with my man. I’d better get moving before we both get too tired and change our minds.
