Ya get it?
Anyway…we started out a little after 7 a.m. and finished a little after 4. We totaled at 51 quarts and split it as evenly as we could between Becky and I.
Mine is in the freezer, hers is in a cooler on it’s way home.
I’m tired and Kris is picking up Sonic for dinner. I e-mailed and told him I don’t want to use my feet anymore so he offered to pick something up.
I’m so glad it’s done. I wish I could have taken more pictures but I just couldn’t stop long enough to get it done.
If your feet ache anything like the year we did pears and tomatoes… I GET IT! Ha! Such a great memory, though. And you will get to enjoy your hard work for months to come!
What a lot of work! But it’s so beautiful to look at from this side of things. I put up corn with the Jeffries family one year. Whew!
Ohhh… this brings back so many memories of my family doing the exact same thing!!! I feel for you girl… but you are going to LOVE that corn this winter!
It makes me appreciate my mom and grandma that used to do that stuff all the time. *And* makes me appreciate that I can just run to the grocery store 🙂 I do love fresh picked corn and you can’t get much more fresh than that, can you? Great job- I hope you soaked in a hot bath for a while after that.
YUM! This looks great. Do you ever fry it? That’s what my family does back in KY. delicious.
