The sun is out and showing off again this morning. We have had such beautiful weather here in Nashville. It has been cold and I have had to use an extra blanket at night but the sunshine has been therapeutic.
Wednesday I enjoyed sitting at my quilt with the sun beaming in on me and Christmas music playing in the next room. Owen and I took a walk that day too; it was fun to see all the different decorations our neighbors have used to light up their homes. People are so creative.
Yesterday, the day started out foggy but soon gave way to bright and beautiful. We went outside and Owen played on the deck while I worked on my little lasagna garden. To Owen’s utter delight, the little neighbor girl came over with her puppy and talked and played with us for a while. Every time the dog barks…Owen giggles. It’s great.
I hope to take full advantage of the sunshine while it lasts. I may go to the old house and rake a few leaves up for my garden and I should probably use the weed-eater and trim up a few things here.
I imagined “lasagna gardening” to be a small garden with the essentiaqls for making a lasagna: basil, oregano, tomatoes, garlic etc. I clicked on the link and am intrigued. Of course, as I’ve said before, I *want* to be a gardener but am nowhere near ready to invest time into yet another project. Some day, though.
I still haven’t gotten the book, but I want to go to the library and check it out one of these days. I am going on information from a friend who swears by this method.
