How About That Sunshine!

Yesterday the sun shown. It was warm and we got to enjoy it. Tisra and Amy and I along with 6 little kids took a drive to Spring Hill, did a little shopping, had a little lunch and then let the kids play at the park for a bit. It was beautiful and I’m so glad we happened to choose such a nice day for our outing. Owen had such a blast with Dean and whined on the way home that we don’t get to see Dean enough and that he needs to come to our house and we need to go to his house and what a tragedy that we are so far, far away.

Today I am realizing the closeness of the holiday and I’m excited to see most of my shopping done. I am having a hard time getting started today because of the rainy gray outside my windows, but I am confident that I will still be able to accomplish something useful and productive.

There are a lot of other things that seem to be slipping by, like getting client gifts ordered and sent for Kris’ business. Christmas cards for our family, and getting lights on the house have taken a back seat. I think it’s time to get up and get moving. I’m making myself nervous just typing about it.

  1. It was a lovely day yesterday! Best of luck on the Christmas list- I thought we were doing rather well, but somethings have crept up on me and I’m a teensy bit surprised by all that I hope to accomplish to fully experience the Christmas season. I’ll be fine if some of it has to fall off the list, but, you know how intentions go… there are always more plans than you have time to complete!

  2. What a great Mom you are! Christmas cookies on the tree!!! Are they being nibbled on as we speak? They would be if I were there!

  3. Oooo! An outing! Anything that qualifies as an “outing” sounds like a fun time!
My to-do list is scaring me too. It happens every year.
