What I Did

I went to Walmart, put gas in the van, cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom, straightened things up, made a yummy beef stew, made pb&j for the boys then put them to bed and fed my lunch guests Brent and Henry. B and H came by to work on the program for the fund-raiser coming up for Brent Gambrell Ministries. We got a program lined up and I have some work to do communicating with all of our talent for the evening. They left at 2:30 and 3:30 and then I gathered what wits I had left and locked Ivan in the playroom while I mowed the grass. It’s done…finally done. Now for a wonderfully welcome shower and a little dinner, then I’m off to play at Amber’s house. I’ll be taking the boys because they love going to Amber’s house and because Kris has a meeting with an accountant tonight. I am looking forward to it and I’m hoping I’ll be alert enough to be good company.

Oh, B and H and I went through a tub of old pictures and found lots of fun things to look at. My how young and thin I was…and I remember at the time thinking I needed to lose weight. Ah, what perspective will do. Anyway, we also found an old scrapbook that I had started back in January of 1993 to keep track of all of our travels. We were soon too busy to keep up with it all, but I’m glad I have at least that first 9 months or so. I didn’t even remember doing it, but it is neat to have some labels for the faces and places that have now become unfamiliar. Other treasures, like a still shrink wrapped copy of the recording we did was in there too. Good stuff.

  1. I know that Tisra already said it but- Wow! Wow! I’m tired from just reading that and I’m not pregnant.

I’m glad you got to see B & H. It probably sounds crazy since I’m not really friends with them but when I read that you got to see them I thought “Awww, I miss them”. Crazy, crazy.

  2. You were great company! We love when the Kelso’s visit 🙂 If it’s of any worth, I’m not pregnant and I was exhausted too! I’m sure I tried to disguise it until after you left, but once you guys left, I put Madison to bed and promptly crashed on the couch while Derek watched CSI or some other crime type show. I’m such a great host!

  3. Are you already in your second trimester? Sure sounds like it with all your energy! Mary~ you are the queen of multi-tasking!
