We are waiting for the storm to pass. It’s been somewhat exciting watching it pass over. It really hasn’t been too bad right where we are. Obviously we have power. I actually heard the tornado siren and we are listening to the radio. Owen cried a couple of times when it thundered loud but has been having a good time watching the rain for the most part.
I’m ready to get past it now and put Owen to bed. I’m sleepy.
Today is also our anniversary. We went out on Saturday night and it was so nice. Kris had been given tickets to the Predators game through work and we had box seats. The game was good…we won…and the place was packed. I’ve never been to a sold out hockey game before. We went to dinner before the game at Amerigo and I had some wonderful tortellini…I mean…really really good tortellini. Kris had the duck and sausage…always good and the bread was delicious. They’ve changed it since I was there last and this is definitely a good change. Yummy. Eric and Tisra graciously agreed to watch Owen for us and he had a great time. He loves going to GrantDean’s house. This is our 8th anniversary and it has been a telling year for our marriage. We have held up well in some rough spots and the storm tonight seems a bit of a metaphor as we are calmly enjoying each others company despite the fierce winds we hear outside. God is good and it is obvious to me that He really thinks a lot of me for giving me such a great husband.
Happy 8th. The picture is beautiful. Where did you guys get married?
Happy anniversary!
Has it been 8 years?? In some ways it doesn’t seem that long but in others, well when I think of all that has happened since then it seems like a lifetime. Any way I pray all the rest of your years are extra good ones.
I am sorry I forgot your anniversary! I’m sure you didn’t even notice! I really am so happy for all God has done for you both. He does love you alot, and He loves me for giving my son such a wonderful wife and son(s).
Wow! Where have I been? I can’t believe it’s been 8 years, they go by so quickly. Congratulations!
LaDonna – We got married at Cornerstone. The congregation was meeting in the gym at that time and the old sanctuary had been renovated to hold the youth…so we got married in the gym. It’s not as bad as it sounds. It was well decorated. We had the reception in the same room. This picture is in the hallway at our apartment complex where we spent our first year and 2 months.
Mom – I really didn’t notice. I got a card from Becky and thought…oh yeah, I guess other people do send you cards for your anniversary. Kris did get me a card and that’s the main one I was looking for. He also bought me a big Symphony bar. Mmmm.
Happy Anniversary!!
I hope I didn’t offend you yesterday when I called to warn you about the impending storm…I just worried that you wouldn’t know as HGTV doesn’t usually tell you about those types of things!
I am glad it wasn’t as bad as it could have been and that I wasn’t over here alone stressing over it all like I usually do.
Funny side note…I hate tornado warnings and usually have to deal with them by myself…the one time Barry was home during a bad one, we sat in bed and watched tv unaware how bad the storm was and there was actual damage very close to here (car wash knocked down)…so when he is home I haven’t a care in the world! :o)
Happy Anniversary! We’ve been married 8 years also!
