Yesterday morning I went out and got some pictures of a few things growing behind the house. Freshly planted forsythia bush and two blueberry bushes that went in the ground on Saturday mainly. I traveled down the hill (steep, wet grass and flip flops were not going to stop me) and took some shots of my mother’s day dogwood tree as well. She has some pretty blooms on top and a couple little visitors were noticing this as well.
I’m also VERY happy to say that my couch project of nearly two years, is finally finished. Kris and I agreed that taking it to an upholsterer was worth it to not have an unfinished puzzle sitting in front of us at all times. I love it. It’s not his style at all, but he tolerates it because I love it.

I forgot to ask where you got your blueberry bush. I looked at Lowe’s and they have bare root plants but I didn’t see any pots. I’ve made bare root plants work but it’s a little iffy.
Love the sofa. It’s not my style either but when you paint it a fabulous green, add some great fabric and add some tiny little boy feet it’s just irresistible.
Needham’s nursery in Mt. Juliet has EVERYTHING. I love them. There are big friendly dogs wandering around everywhere and men with thick beards who know way more about growing things than I care to hear about, yet…I enjoy going there a lot. They are just so helpful and down to earth, and I love all the choices they have, from pansies to fruit trees.
I love those little toes hanging off the couch 🙂
