I have other things to write about but why clutter. This simple post is all about winning. Here’s what I’m after:

In less selfish news…I didn’t sleep a wink last night. Okay…maybe I slept two hours, but I got to bed late and got a call at 1:00 a.m. from my sister who said, “You don’t have to come if you’re too tired, but I’m in labor.” Yeah…I’m NOT too tired. I grabbed some clothes and a camera and was out the door.
Due date: March 11th
Obstacles: Daddy and siblings out of town from March 4th (I think) to March 21st, Mama unhappy, baby getting big.
Miracle: Daddy arrives home around 11:00 p.m. on the 21st, Mama goes into labor around 12:30 a.m. on the 22nd, baby boy comes a little after 2:00 a.m. (Not sure on all those times but it’s in the general vicinity of accurate.)

8 lbs. 11 oz.
22 inches long and looks like Daddy so far.
I was a little tired so if you see different numbers on facebook don’t correct me. I don’t care.
I was birth photographer, and also had to get back home to be mommy here, so I didn’t even get to hold the little guy before I left, but I’m pretty sure I’ll see him again soon.
What amazing timing. Becky will have to laugh about that one for years to come! I hope my labor is as quick as hers was. Of course, her body’s had more practice than mine 🙂
an hour and 1/2!!! amazing! how awesome God is to bring Bobby home just in time! Thanks for this beautiful pic of Justis! I’ll be praying for him and his momma.
God would still have been all-powerful, wonderful, and In Control if that little guy had shown up while Bobby was gone. What I just love, though, is that He does care, He does listen, and He does want to see us thrilled. This thrills a whole heap of us in one go. So happy for them!
