Merry Christmas…And Happy New Year!

Oh my, has it really been more than a week since I posted? Christmas has come and hopefully not completely gone. The great thing about Christmas is the way it can linger. It really is so much more than a day. We had a great time by the way. Kris’ parents were here. They left this morning and we always enjoy our time with them. Kris’ mom was sick the entire time so that part was a little rough, but I’m very glad she came anyway and she braved all the noise and chaos very well in her condition.

There will be pictures eventually. I haven’t even looked at them yet.

I’m looking forward to New Years Day and all that it represents as well. In just a couple days we will prepare to go to a dinner at church and then there may or may not be a few guests at the house for games and food to bring in the New Year.

As usual I am taking one activity at a time because I can’t really handle any more than that. My inability to multi-task can be a real stress inducer by the end of December. Today my focus is getting some laundry caught up and some food taken care of. We ate a lot of different things and there are a variety of leftovers that should probably be frozen because there’s no way to eat them all while they are still good.

Also today I am taking Aron to see Howard. Howard is a man in Gallatin that does Reflexology. He owns a little hole in the wall, bright yellow painted, vitamin shop on main street and he’s a good Christian man who I trust to not be a weirdo. Aron has been having stomach aches for three days. It’s not constant and it could be nothing but poor food choices but he’s been waking up crying in the night and I don’t want to just assume it’s nothing, though I hope it is. It’s very different than anything the other two have ever done, so I just want to check him out. I could get into the doctor’s office I’m sure, but I’d like to get Howard to see him first and if it’s something we can take care of without further (very expensive and scary) tests and without prescriptions, I would prefer it. So I called this morning and Howard is in today and can see us this afternoon. Perfect.

That means…I need to get ready and I need to get the boys fed and ready as well. We skipped baths last night because Aron was feeling bad and we were all REALLY tired. No one had naps and I think I was more tired than they were, which makes me a really grouchy mommy. Baths and grouchy mommies are not a good combination. The bathtub area echos when I yell at them.

  1. Can’t wait to hear what Howard says about Aron. He was a HUGE help when baby Maddie had all her horrible allergy issues. I’m a firm believer in Howard. I only wish he was cloer to Nashville 🙁

  2. I wish he were closer too Amber. I can get there in less than 40 minutes though so I think it’s probably the same amount of time as going to the doctor once you consider that I won’t have that long waiting room part. I really hate that part, especially when I have all three boys with me. 🙂

  3. How nice to have family in town for Christmas. I was wondering where you were 🙂

I was going to see a reflexologist once but she freaked me out so I never went. I hope that Aron’s issues are just a virus. If it makes you feel any better, Travis, the girls and I are having some stomach owies. It only lasts a couple of days and there aren’t many other symptoms except a general blah.
