Chancy Nancy

If one hears a story from Nancy,
It will surely be riddled with fancy.
She’s a poet of sorts,
But the truth she purports,
Is in general thought of as chancy.

Oh boy am I tired.

I’m in a very quiet house where three young boys are napping quite contentedly in secure locations about the dwelling. Taking no chance on any of them entertaining each other, I divided and conquered to ensure a blissful interlude of slumber this afternoon.

Owen had a half day of school and is officially on Christmas break. He has a birthday party sleep-over tonight with a boy from church and was up super-duper late last night while Kris and I were attending separate and unequal Christmas parties. He had to have a nap. I laid down with him for a while just to make sure he was still and I think I got a little sleep too. I could use a little more but there is SO MUCH TO DO!

  1. I know…busy here too. I think this year will be what it will be. I’m not striving for perfection because that ship has sailed. Now I’m aiming for fun with my family. Hopefully cookie baking and a drive to look at lights make the cut 🙂

  2. I feel bad about not getting Christmas cards done. so far, not bad enough to sit down and do them. This month is just roaring by! see you in a few days – have some snow for us this time okay?
