I had a lovely visit with my cousin Cheryl this weekend.
We had been planning it for some time, although it didn’t require a lot of planning. She just wanted to hang out with us. She wasn’t coming to see Nashville, just us. So we only left the house twice. Once for dinner out on Saturday night and once for church on Sunday morning. The rest of the time we visited.
Across the table.
On the porch.
With the kids.
In the car.
While watching football.
Catching up.
We visited.
And sometimes, we were just quiet. It was nice. I really hope she enjoyed it as much as I did.
She brought me a really nice cookbook and some coveted DeBrand Chocolates. I sure hope she comes back.
Your description was perfect. Ahhhhhhhh. I love those kinds of visits! Love!
I love those kind of visits too. They really are the best. I’m so glad you had a nice time.
Sigh. It sounds perfectly lovely.
She sure did enjoy it as much as you did! I had already told you I was just interested in hanging out, not worried about doing things, necessarily. Before you came out of the church with Aron, Kris asked if there was anything I hoped to do in Nashville and I told him just see your family. I pointed out that I had now seen you so maybe I should just head home:) It was such a nice time catching up. One day we’ll go for one of those pretty sundaes at DeBrand’s. Thanks again!
