A girl with her head full of new tricks,
Has watched as her goals fell like red bricks.
Her lists are too long,
She attempts things all wrong,
But she HAS written 100 limericks.
Yes! It’s true! This is my 100th limerick! To celebrate, I’m going to run another Mary Mary Giveaway. This time it’s a new batch of cards I’m calling “It’s Limerick Friday!” These are just for fun, nothing uplifting or edifying here at all. Just some of the favorites over the past several years that I felt would make a great little greeting bundle. I’m including five limericks on five cards. All tied up in black and white ribbon and ready to make someone you love smile.
Remember Edith and Fran? They came to me in July of this year and I loved them dearly. I included them because they have fun names and I felt their story could be inspirational as a friendship card.
Kelly and her vine tattoos were introduced a year ago in October of 2009.
Alison is a more recent story. She was introduced just last month and got such a good response I felt it necessary to spread her message even further.
I had to include Emily Allison Dost with Christmas coming soon. She and Elliott, featured next, were December inspirations, Emily from last year and Elliott in 2008.
** Have to add this: A man finds Jesus in a tree limb. So similar to Emily Allison’s story.
To be entered in this completely random drawing, just leave a comment below and let me know which of these five limerick cards you find the most appealing. Whether it’s because you find it humorous, sentimental or just clever…which one do you like best? If you can remember or find one of my limericks that’s not included in these five, but you wish it were, list it in the comments as well and I’ll enter your name a second time. You don’t have to remember the entire limerick just enough of the subject for me to find it again.
I had a difficult time choosing which five to turn into cards. Some of the limericks have been too personal of course which narrowed it down quite a bit, but there were definitely enough others that will allow me to do more of these in the future.

Those are so cute, Mary!
I love Edith and Fran! Followed by Alison. This is a great idea.
I really love them all, and i have to say the nativity burned into toast is especially charming!
Edith and Fran have my vote! I immediately pictured friends I could give it too. That’s why I liked it. 🙂
