There is no way I have time to explain all the goings on around here…but I will just say that I’m having FUN!
Had lunch with a friend from church yesterday that I have known for a long time, but never really knew. It’s amazing what a link to a personality test, a comment in passing and a little nudge to do the right thing can produce. She and I are super matchy matchy in our temperaments and once we got to talking it was like we had shared a brain for a while in our observations. Funny.
I WILL write a post about Aron soon. His birthday was Saturday and we let him have (nearly) free reign of all that we did as a family. I heard him directing me on how to get home from the store today and had to laugh…”Ashually turn left here!” That’s pretty much how Saturday went.
Had house guests last night and went to bed feeling tired, but fully content in the lovely group of people God has surrounded us with. All I could say was “Thank you,” as I mumbled my way to sleep.
It wasn’t until this morning when I saw the gum in the carpet and the tree branches on our little maple tree in the front yard twisted around the trunk (yes there were children involved in this get together…and praise God I don’t know who did these things) that I felt like kicking everyone out. Thankfully for them, they were already gone. Wow. I’m still grateful…I’m still grateful…I’m still grateful.
Fun things coming and going. I’m in the middle of a mad, mad dash to more mad, mad dashing. Birthday party, Fall break, baby shower, girls night, and more. I will post details when I have more than 5 minutes to sit still.
Wow, Mary. The gum thing. I was cleaning the church in Rhiannon’s recent absence and Mia alerted me to a big, huge, nasty wad of bubble gum stuck to the back of the door behind the piano that leads to the back stairway, remember? Well, it also had a sucker wrapper beautifully and artfully poised in the middle of it. I still haven’t gotten the entire “sculpture” cleaned off! I too am glad I don’t know who did it, though I have my suspicions!
Mia probably did it. 😉
I hope you can get the gum out! I know several techniques if you need hints!
Ooh, gum…bummer. I’m not exactly sure which thing I’d be most upset about but I’m going to guess that it would be the tree.
Yuck.
