As you know I went to Michigan over the weekend to see my niece Jessica graduate. She is my oldest niece and I don’t see her often as she lives up in Michigan and is 17. First there was an open house for her and another graduate which their church hosted on Saturday afternoon. It was very nice and I think Jessica really enjoyed it.
Here is my sister Kathy, my niece Kayla and a friend of theirs from the open house.
The graduation was on Sunday and I barely made it back from church in IN with dad to eat lunch and make it to the ceremony. In fact I was pretty late, but I did get to see her get her diploma, throw her cap in the air and generally act like she was going to explode with happiness. In this first picture she drew a few smiles as the boisterous wind blew her cap off of her head on her way up the steps.
Proud mama with her graduate.
We are pretty proud of Jessica and what she has accomplished. She did well in school and is planning to pursue a nursing degree at Glenn Oaks Community College this fall. I was really debating whether to make the trip up with three little boys, one of which is potty training, but I’m really glad we did it.
I’m so glad you got to go. Jessica looks just like I remember her…only taller 😀
