Everyday LifeLimerick Friday

Tim & Kim

A fish has moved in named Tim,
To a tall bowl in which he can swim,
He has rocks at the base,
And significant space,
Should he ever invite his friend Kim.

Yes, we bought a beta fish the other day. The boys have been very excited and I only hope that they haven’t made the poor little guy sick from their constant attention. He is eating, so we haven’t driven him too far over the edge.

My dad is here for a few days. We won’t let him stay much longer than that because he’s such a bother. Kidding of course. Dad never makes a fuss and there is rarely a sign that he has even been here after he leaves. He likes to take care of himself and keep out of our hair. Becky and Bobby will be home for Monday’s holiday so we will all be able to get together and grill burgers then.

Other than that I have nothing significant to report this morning. We will be doubling up with girls today. Madison is here for the day and Chloe and Halle will come this evening. My boys are very excited about all of this and I am too really. Madison will actually be here most of next week as well. She is without school and without childcare next week so we have the honor of her company Tuesday through Friday.

I am going to get off of here now so that Madison can play some games. She gets a little bored with following Aron around after a while.

Oh…one last thing. Aron has been calling my dad “popa.” In trying to pronounce grandpa, he has created his only little label and I thought it was pretty cute.

  1. I actually know a couple named Tim and Kim. They’d be delighted at your limerick 🙂 Tim is my friend Leah’s brother-in-law and he married a Kim. It’s quite cute. I don’t see me meeting a mate whose name rhymes with mine. If I did, I don’t think it would be nearly as cute. I can hear it now . . . “Amber and Zamber are coming to our house for dinner.” “Amber and Lamber are spending the holidays with us.” 🙂
