Itching

The other day when I planted tulip bulbs at the bottom of our hill…I got poison ivy or poison oak or something akin and I’m itching along a row of bumps on my right hip.

This morning I am looking outside at the glow of the morning sun on my patio chairs and I’m itching to be out there on my back porch with a bit of yarn and a tall glass of ice water.

Yesterday and this morning both I’ve had at least 47 ideas for things to make dance through my head and I’m itching to have fabric and scissors and other accessories at my disposal to put them all together.

I looked out on our front yard and saw that our grass is now taller than both of our next door neighbors grass and I’m itching to get out there and cut it.

I am awake…and I’m sleepy…I’m itching to get back into that yet unmade bed.

I have too many itches to scratch right now.

  1. “accessories at my disposal”- like *time*?! That seems to be the one that stops my creative output.

Here’s hoping you can scratch a little bit today. (Ha! That just sounds funny.)

  2. Well, I hope you get to scratch some of those itches today. The only itch I have is to do absolutely nothing. Gaaa, I need to get moving.

  3. My mother got into some poison ivy at our house too… but she got hers on her face and unfortunately began swelling up. She had to see a doctor on Monday who gave her a shot in the booty and two prescriptions later. By the way… if Google suggest you use a hair dryer to help dry up the area in question, don’t do it. You’ll end up with a sunburn that is embarrassing to explain to the doctor
