A handsome young boy named Owen,
was proud of the way he was growin’,
He was tall like his dad,
And that made him glad,
So he smiled so big he was glowin’.
Owen has been underfoot this afternoon. It is the price I pay when I don’t make him take a nap. He insists on being where I am and even tries to get in between me and the computer as I type. It’s pretty annoying. I have tried to interest him in other things, but apparently I am much more interesting than other things and cannot be left alone. I told him that I need to write my limerick for the week and he is still here hanging out with me despite the boredom my lack of attention provides. I decided to ask him for a name this week and he immediately gave me his own. Of course. He also insisted that “glowin'” would be a good choice for the rhyming word in the last line. So…I guess this is a joint effort this week.
Cudos to Owen. I liked it. Mary, way to make the interruption something useful. I enjoy hearing his personality come through.
Very cute, I like it.
Good job Owen! Excellent suggestion 🙂
soon he will be writing his own limericks. good job Owen and mom.
