Dad just left this morning to go check on his other life in the north. He spent a couple weeks here in Tennessee but I think he gets a little restless when he doesn’t have his own stuff to work on.
We did have a nice time while he was here despite the colds and bugs that wanted to interrupt us. We took a drive to Kentucky, went out for breakfast, did a little shopping and he and Owen took in a movie. We had a lot going on around us and he was on his own quite a bit and watched the boys a couple times for us as well. It was very nice to have him around on a week when I could really use another adult in the house.
Kris seems to be feeling much better. It seemed like he would have a good day and then the next morning wake up feeling bad again but in another area of his body. One day he would be congested, the next time it would be a stomach issue. It seemed unending, but I am confident that we are done with all of it. He is still feeling a little weak, but will gain strength as the days progress I am sure.
On Saturday we had a meeting with the BGM Board of Directors and in making plans for our next fund raiser dinner I thought of an idea. I am going to put a quilt together, with the help of as many people as I can get, to be auctioned off at the 2009 dinner. This years dinner is too close to try and get anything like that put together so we’ll shoot for next year. Ooooh…did you feel that? I just had another idea…I’ll have to make a phone call.
Did I mention how GREAT you looked on Saturday? You did.
Glad everyone is mending and sickness is gone!
I’m sure your dad didn’t need entertaining, anyway- right Harry?
Just seeing his daughters, enjoying the grandkids, and being part of your everyday life- if only for a bit- was probably his aim.
The Haiti project sounds good, and doable with a 2009 goal date. Looking forward to seeing that unfold!
Kathy – thank you!
Traci – me too!
Tisra – You read him well.
well I’m really not all that bad in associating with others but I’m a little bit like “I wont bother you if you don’t bother me.” But I’ll make some exceptions with family.
