Getting Pictures

I have had a membership in the JCPenney Portrait Club for some time and haven’t used it once. Until Yesterday that is. I needed to get pictures of Aron and thought I might as well get Ivan and Owen pictures as well. It was unbelievable. The sweet photographer was helpful and patient and understanding of my full hands but I once again let my expectations get the better of my sense of reality and was disappointed in the time it took. I did get a few good pictures but the one I really wanted of Aron in the same pose I have of Ivan and Owen is not what I’d hoped for. Thankfully that one was free. I may try to do it myself. I don’t have the black velvet drape but I was thinking maybe a black velvet dress I have could be stretched over the Boppy and work just as well.

It took us three hours to pose, click, chase, demand, bribe, click, spank, smile, click, pout, cajole, click, feed, click and then pick out the ones that came out well. Owen was in his element boy! He smiled on demand posed in crazy poses, sang for the photographer and loved every bit of it. In the end she had four pictures of him in funny expressions and poses that she wanted for her sample book they publish. She couldn’t find a release form though so I didn’t sign him away.

It was after 2:00 by the time we walked to the van and we hadn’t had lunch so we drove down to the Chick-Fil-A at the other end of the parking lot and relaxed with some yummy chicken. I let the boys play in the play area for a while and then we went home. Ivan was of course asleep by the time we got home and I wanted to be. I felt exhausted. Owen played, I fed Aron and then we just relaxed for about 30 minutes.

Kris came home and rested. He is doing better but is still in a lot of mysterious pain. We have a chiropractic appointment on Monday to see if they have any ideas. He seemed to sleep well last night so that should help.
