Baby Shower

My dear friend Amber threw me a sweet baby shower to help prepare for the coming of little Aron. As it is the third boy that will be appearing, there aren’t a lot of needs regarding baby stuff. He is also coming in the right season to match the sizes of the previous baby boys. We still have most of the equipment we purchased with Owen and have accumulated a few things since then that will make Aron’s arrival even easier to prepare for. When presented with the idea of a shower I could still think of a few things that we could use but nothing that we need…except of course diapers. So a diaper shower it was.

Amber recruited help from other friends and family and between them all it was a very sweet time. The crowd was small and fairly intimate and the food was delicious. I don’t know who brought what, but it was very nice. I spoke to several friends at church the next day who were unable to come to the shower and heard from several others who were sick. The heat was intense and still is, making getting out, that much harder. Regardless of the size of the crowd, I brought home bags and bags of diapers and wipes and changing pads and various little outfits and toys for Aron. Along with all the left-over food which is being disposed of by the large crowd here at the house. We are making use of it all.

Aron will be properly diapered and clothed…he is a blessed baby. Thank you to all of you!

  1. I’m so sad that I couldn’t be there 🙁 But I’m glad that you had a nice time and that the baby got lots of nice things. I can’t wait to meet him.

Oh yeah, and 9 months pregnant + heat wave= an uncomfy Mommy. I hope it ends soon.
