Beginning The Week

I’ve had a wonderfully busy morning and relaxing afternoon today. I got the kids ready and out the door by 9-ish and headed up to Becky’s house to drop them off. I had a birthday lunch to go to in Goodlettsville (Chef’s Market…mmmm!) so her house wasn’t too far out of the way. After our lovely lunch, I went back up and joined the kids in the little back yard pool for a little while. They had a blast and Owen of course cried because he didn’t want to leave. Ivan was tired and a little moody so I got them changed, packed up and they were asleep by the time we got home. There was also a little storm brewing as we pulled in so laying them down in their beds was sort of a treat. I love to sit quietly and rest during the wind and thunder. It’s so peaceful. They will rest a little longer and then I think we’ll go pick Kris up from work and all head down to Cool Springs together for a little shopping. I’ve felt really, really good today so I’m totally up for it.

There is a lot of household stuff to catch up on after the weekend, mainly laundry and grocery shopping but it will have to wait until tomorrow. I’m hoping that since my list is already made I will have no trouble getting out the door and running my errands tomorrow before the intense heat hits. Actually, I think it’s supposed to be overcast and a little cooler tomorrow. Perfect.

The big news is that my youngest sister had baby boy number three this morning. Some of you are on her e-mail list and already got the announcement, but for those who aren’t…

Christopher Harrison Hall was born at 10:19 a.m. (Slovenia time) and weighed in at approximately 8.7 pounds and is 20.5 inches long. (These are my attempts at calculating from kilograms and centimeters, thus the “approximately”.) Everyone is doing well. Praise the Lord.
