Yes, odd things come to mind at times. Every April 18th I remember this poem…probably because I was made to memorize a portion of it in elementary school. Were you?

Ha! I never would have remembered that. But, I do remember the poem now that I’ve seen it again.
I didn’t have to memorize it so I didn’t. But I remember that first short verse from reading it as a little boy. I like to ask people on the 18th of April, “What happened on this day?” and no one remembers.
