A Good Day

foot Don’t you love chubby baby feet?

Yesterday was a really good day. Kris and I got ready for church in record time and were out the door 3 minutes before our 7:30 deadline. I had nursery check-in duty at 8:00 so I was a little early and got to hangout with Becky and the kids for a little while before dropping off my boys and heading to my post. After check-in I fed Ivan and went to Sunday School. When I walked into our class I was late and was surprised to see several newer faces. We had a record 15 people in class and Kris’ lesson was really good. Once again it tied in beautifully with Pastor Davis’ sermon. The two were on somewhat different subjects, yet some of the same scriptures were used and some of the comments and side notes were so similar in their point. Pastor Davis is speaking on Grace and Mercy this month and I’m excited to see what God will do with this series. I think it is timely for our church.

We came home after church and had yummy chili for lunch. Owen actually ate two bowls. I am so glad he liked it. His menu is getting more and more narrow with peanut butter and jelly the main objective for him at every meal. I cleaned up the Kitchen, fed Ivan and made cookies. By the time I was done with that it was time to get ready to leave for the Fadelys. Dad joined us after having had lunch with Becky and family and we all went to watch the Super Bowl.

The (This space left blank for those readers in foreign lands who have not yet watched the game) won the game and while they battled on the field, the guys were upstairs watching on the huge screen and the women were downstairs watching on the smaller big screen and doing a lot of talking and laughing. I so enjoy the company of my girlfriends as well as the new people I got to meet. I talked a lot to a girl named Jenny who fascinated me with her ability to remember details and genuine interest in other people. I wish I were more like that. Hopefully Jenny will be joining us at a sewing party soon. All the kids played and made lots of noise and even entertained us on occasion. It was a very nice time…Big THANK YOU to Eric and Tisra for hosting once again!

Today is Monday…otherwise known as Catch Up Day at my house. Laundry and cleaning, grocery shopping and other fun things must be accomplished today. Can’t wait to get started.

  1. So, the peanutbutter thing must be a phase. That makes me feel better about Clay wanting that and yogurt to be the only things in his diet.

  2. Oh yeah, Chloe mostly only wants peanut butter and jelly too. She used to eat everything and now she usually won’t eat very much. I think it’s very common during the toddler years.
