Oh the Whining!

What is happening to my happy little boy? He has done nothing but whine this morning and I’m ready to pull HIS hair out. I’m not touching mine as it seems to want to fall out on it’s own. I guess it’s pregnancy but I don’t remember the wads coming out like this in my last pregnancy. I probably need some different vitamins or something. I’ll have to work on it.

Busy day ahead. The yard has not been mowed in two weeks and I think I had better do it today. I didn’t do any laundry over the weekend so it’s time to catch up on that. Becky and Chele’ and I are singing as a trio for the Memorial Day service this coming Sunday and we need to practice so I am going up to Becky’s this afternoon to work with them on that. When I get back…make dinner and clean the kitchen before Kris gets home. That’s the goal anyway.

Tomorrow night I have the first meeting of our writing team for the Ladies Night of Laughter. I’m excited about this and hope everyone has a good time while being very productive.

Our weekend was nice. Saturday…was a little hard on me as I felt like poopy most of the day. I had that feeling of being so tired I can’t move and that little touch of nausea that comes with the first trimester of pregnancy. Needless to say I did nothing all day except to try to keep Owen and myself fed. Kris had gone to a meeting of ultra-light flyers where he learned a few things as well as getting to take a ride up in a two seater ultra-light and even fly it himself a little. He loved it and continues to have the bug for learning to fly. I hope that someday he can do it, but admit at the same time that I have some fears to overcome. I just don’t want my fears to be a hindrance to his fun and I know that if I can be truly supportive of this hobby I would enjoy it as much as he does. He drove there and back with his top down and has a nice little sunburn to show for it. He looks pretty cute with a little color. When he got home we relaxed for a while and then I begged him to take me to Las Americas for Pupupas. Yummy…he gave in and we each had a bean and cheese pupusa along with a couple of tacos for Kris. I need to get some masa harina and see if I can make them myself. Not that they are expensive but I’m sure it would be even cheaper if I made them at home. On our way to the restaurant we remembered that it was member night at the zoo so we drove there (just a few miles up the road from the restaurant) after our meal and walked around a little. It was beautiful weather and we were able to see a few things but a lot of the animals were already put away and the show they had at 7:30 was one I had seen already. Next time they have member night we’ll try to plan a little better and get there around 5:30.

Sunday, we went to church of course. It was a graduation service and though very focused on our group of seniors was still very relevant to the rest of us. One of the girls spoke and talked to her parents about their love and support to her and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room…gush, gush. After church we handed Owen over to Josh and Melissa to take home with them and Kris and I drove downtown to the Arena to see the last game of the season for the Nashville Kats Arena football team. They lost, but it was still enjoyable for the most part. The company Kris works for has one of those club boxes so they give away the tickets in random drawings when there are events at the Arena. Last Christmas we were able to go to a concert there. We picked up Owen afterward and he had played so hard with Jayna that we put him to bed as soon as we got home and he stayed there the rest of the night. He didn’t wake up until around 6:30 this morning. Which brings us back around to today. I need to get busy or I will lose all my daylight to ramblings.

Make hay while the sun shines.
