Yesterday, Owen and I went out to run errands for a baby shower that I’m hosting and boy was I glad to get home. Nothing really went wrong except that Wal-mart didn’t have the little cheap platters I was counting on them having and they rang up the wrong size bag of ice for me and then made me walk from one end of the store to the other twice so that I could take home the bag that I didn’t want. We made four stops all together, Party City, Target, Wendy’s and Wal-mart and I am quite sure that I was just not genetically made up to endure this. What is it about going from one place to another that irritates me so much? What is it about being away from home that makes me feel so exhausted? Owen was pretty good the whole time. He was ready for a nap when we got back but he didn’t throw any tantrums or anything. We got a lot done but there is more to do today and the shower is at 2:00. In a little bit here I will be off again, back to Party City for the platters and some balloons and to Target (since it’s next door) for dish washing detergent and something else on my list that I can’t remember. When I get back I’ll frost the cake…clean and mop the kitchen and straighten up anything that was messed up in my absence. Hopefully all of that can and will be accomplished by 1:45 and I’ll be ready for guests.
Kris is planning to take Owen to the zoo so hopefully that work out. I wish it was appropriate for them to just stay and hang out, cause I really like those two.
I’d better get busy!
I am right there with you. I hate making more than one stop, which is why Wal-Mart is so popular. We have a
Super Target here but I have yet to check out the groceries.
