Last Day! Woo Hoo! I ate a 4 carb breakfast and I’m skipping lunch so we can have an exciting 18 carb dinner tonight for Valentine’s Day. I’m so tempted to make a cake in my little heart shaped pan but I don’t want to ruin our hard work with a bunch of sugar.
Kris had a computer emergency yesterday morning. Too keep a long explanation short and technically simple, our web server was down and needed to be fixed. Our web server is the machine that we lease and use the space for other people’s web sites. When it goes down, it’s like their business is down or the doors are locked on their store. Thankfully for them, Sunday morning is the best time for it to happen, unfortunately for Kris, he wasn’t able to go to church yesterday. I grabbed his notes to teach our Sunday School class (which I thoroughly enjoyed) and Owen and I set off in the rain to enjoy church. It was an incredible service. God just settled over us and in and around us and I had a great time.
Josh and Melissa Weber and their daughter Jayna joined us for lunch afterward and Kris was able to sit down and eat lunch with us. He had found a way to fix the problem and we were all relieved. Joshua was relieved since he just recently put a site for his new venture on our server. I was relieved because I knew Kris didn’t need another problem in his life at the moment.
Well since today is the last day of induction I am considering what to do next. Atkins allows me to incorporate more carbs into my diet at this point but I’m tired of some of this and I think we may try switching to South Beach for a while. I’m hoping that would allow us some fruit and things that I’ve missed so much.
I hope that Valentine’s Day goes well for you.
I have been looking at the Suzanne Somers diet and it’s food combining rather than just low carb. Food combining is when you can eat protein and fat together and carbs by itself. I haven’t read the book yet but I’m pretty sure it’s close to Fit For Life that came out years ago. I was thinking that it might be an option since you can eat whole wheat pasta but with a tomato sauce and veggies rather than meat sauce.
Anyway, I’m proud that you stuck to it and I’m sure you’re happy witht he weight loss! Happy Dieting!
