Day 12

Saturday…Oh what pleasure. The sun is shining and the husband is home. I like today.

I didn’t lose weight any yesterday, but this does not bother me, as I lost two the day before. I made my yummy cream soup again and I enjoyed it sooooooo much. I have left-overs this time. It reminds me a little of the shrimp bisque I had when I was in Sacremento, California one time. I stayed in the Hyatt downtown and the restaurant in the hotel was incredible. I had the bisque every day.

Owen has been singing more. The other day I could make out “Jesus Loves Me”. He only does it when he’s distracted. He plays and becomes absorbed in his toys and starts singing in the midst of his jabber. I love it.

My husband is folding clothes on the bed while I type…he’s so cute.

We have a Sunday School party this afternoon. We invited everyone over for a pre-date Valentine Party. Sort of a get together before their individual dates. We also invited another couple that teach another class. Robby and Vanessa McGee are coming to give a little bit of newlywed encouragement and a list of do’s and don’ts for your valentine date. I know that two couples from the class are coming but I really doubt that any of the others are. I am trying not to be disappointed by this. I just hope it’s enough to have a good time.

I have appitizers to make…gotta run.

  1. Sonds like fun, I really wish more of your newlyweds were taking you guys up on some of these get-togethers. But, if one couple comes then even that is enough attendance for a good evening of laughs, encouragement, and relationship building.

  2. Baby jabbering is just the sweetest thing!

You know newlyweds are just slightly more reliable than singles, don’t you? Give them a few years and a few kids, then they’ll be dying to go to a Sunday School function. Oh wait, then they won’t be in your class anymore…

That’s just my way of saying “IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S THEM”!!! We love to come to your house and eat your food.
