Night of Laughter

This Friday is the Ladies Ministry Night of Laughter at church. I am coordinating this event and it is coming together pretty well. There have been a lot of disappointments for me as people have refused to help or then been involved until the last minute and decided to go out of town. I can’t do much about that so I’m making the best of the resources we have.

The church staff has been so great, offering time and talent and a lot of ideas. I’m thankful that I’m not out there alone. There are a few faithful people that I can always count on and I’m so glad for that too. I’m wondering if I should have some sort of talent night where people try out for skits and spots in the show. I think it would be great to see what else our huge church could offer in the way of humor and talent. I feel so limited when I only see a small group of people on a regular basis. I don’t know what else is available.

This will be a busy week as I prepare all the last minute details to be presented on stage and I’m excited about what people will see. There will be skits and song parodies, snacks and silliness, music and hopefully, lots of laughter.

Today is our 7th wedding anniversary. We will leave Owen with friends and head out on the town for a while tonight. I am expecting good things…it’s been a great 7 years.

  1. Happy anniversary!!

I think that the audition thing sounds like a good idea for future nights of laughter- nothing keeps an annual event fresh like new acts, talent, and new people.
