A New Tooth

I finally saw what the trouble has been. I had suspected that the continuous low grade fever and clinging behavior were due to a new tooth coming in, but until today I couldn’t see any evidence. I was a little concerned because his first tooth came in without the fever but with a lot of drool and a runny nose. This time, he hasn’t been drooling and his nose is relatively dry. He’s simply been miserable. Today, he hasn’t had the fever, and the little white culprit is starting to peek through his gums. He is still clingy and obviously uncomfortable. He chews on his thumb pretty aggressively. He is napping right now and has been for over three hours. Poor kid was worn out. I’m just glad that he’s over the fever part. I hate to see him feeling bad. I bought him some teething tablets at the health-food store and hopefully that will ease the pain a bit for him.

Kris hasn’t been feeling great either. No fever, but a very upset stomach. It seems to be something that nags at him just short of constantly. Sometimes it’s a cramped feeling, but mostly it’s been a nausea that makes him feel weak and tired. He has had no other symptoms and has been able to eat, sleep, work, go to church and teach Sunday school and even play his computer game. He just doesn’t feel like being happy and I don’t blame him. I bought him some medicine too and hopefully we can put smiles on both of my boys by the end of the day.
