I’m ready to be home. We’ve had a nice time up here and I was planning on leaving today but have decided to wait until tomorrow before heading back.
Owen has been a good baby and I’ve been very proud of him. He has learned a few things while we’ve been here too. Climbing stairs is his new favorite thing. He absolutely loves it. If I sit him on the floor of dad’s living room he will immediately look for the stairs and head for them. I’ve had to lay a chair on its side at the bottom of the stairway so that he won’t climb up without me knowing it. I don’t mind him climbing as long as I or someone is there to come behind and watch his back. He has a tendancy to get to the top and sit down at the very edge of the stairs and look down. He would tumble down if we didn’t pick him up right away.
Dad’s living room is sunken down one step. He conquered that step first and I’ve allowed him to sit and fall from it so that he will learn that the edge is a dangerous place. He can’t hurt himself from just that one step up and it’s all carpeted so it’s not a big deal. It does make him rather angry though. He’s learning.
Becky and Bobby and I sang at dad’s church this morning. We had a nice time and even made a little money. I didn’t know they were going to pay us. It wasn’t a lot but it was very nice and will definitely help with gas.
